Vish Iyer comes with rich multi-disciplinary experiences across industries and geographies, including the IT Industry from 1991, with significant experiences in market leaders like TCS, IBM, Godrej etc. in India and overseas.

He has been with Tata group since 1991 and with Tata Consultancy Services since 2006. He served IBM in India and in Asia Pacific executive roles for a decade.

His contribution to the Indian IT industry comes from several executive roles played in Tata group and in IBM. At TCS, he held a bouquet of positions including – President of TCS Asia Pacific, Global Head of Strategy, Global Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs, CFO Global Operations; He was the first Country CFO for IBM in India and later Director of Acquisitions IBM Global Services Asia Pacific; Earlier with Tata Group as CFO & EVP at Tata Elxsi Ltd

  • Led TCS Asia Pacific during a crucial growth phase reaching a revenue watermark of USD 1 Billion; Leading CEO Award by SHRI Singapore in 2013.
  • Chairman, India Business Forum Singapore, sponsored by CII and the Indian mission during the period 2012-15; Served on the Board of Advisors to the School of Information Systems of the Singapore Management University 2012-14
  • Established operations in Manila, Dalian and Shenzhen for offshore IT services. Understanding key markets including India, Asia Pacific, USA and Latin American countries.
  • Dispute resolution and management - winning a significant employment class action in the US, Litigations in Latin America, International Arbitration and other dispute settlement actions.
  • Member of Investor Relations Council at TCS , supporting interface with a vast network of analysts and investors in a programmatic manner
  • Rich Board experiences - Chairman - JV between TCS and SBI, Chairman of Audit Committee - TCS eServe Ltd, Director - TCS Latam, Director - York Transport Pte Ltd, Singapore a subsidiary of Tata Motors.
  • Start up operations at Tata Elxsi Ltd, transformation from manufacturing focus to technology and R&D and a successful IPO .
  • GDPR Governance Council and Corporate Compliance Council at TCS; implementation of first of its kind global compliance monitoring system as well as Corporate level readiness for GDPR.
